For a limited time, Paramount+ annual plans are 50% off when you use coupon code SPORTS at checkout. That means you can get a year of the ad-supported Essentials plan for just $30, or join the ad-free Paramount+ with Showtime plan for $60. The discount is only available to new subscribers, and after one year, your membership will automatically renew at full price.
Paramount is offering this discount to celebrate the upcoming NFL season, which begins on September 7th. All NFL on CBS games will stream live on Paramount+, even to subscribers on the cheaper Essentials plan. While NFL on CBS is somewhat basic, it streams local AFC games each Sunday, plus three playoff games and the Super Bowl. The service enforces blackout restrictions, of course, and you're limited to live playback of NFL on CBS games—if you miss a game, you can't watch it later.
Other sports programming, including NCAA college basketball, is also available through Paramount+. But the service is best known for its exclusive selection of shows and movies. The service is home to Star Trek, SpongeBob, NCIS, and a smorgasbord of new original content, such as 1923 (a Yellowstone prequel starring Harrison Ford) and Wolf Pack (with Sarah Michelle Gellar). Paramount+ with Showtime unlocks additional perks, like ad-free on-demand TV, Showtime originals and sports, your local CBS station, and offline downloads.
Even if you only use Paramount+ to stream football games, the discounted price of $30 is pretty fantastic. Other platforms that stream CBS on NFL, such as Fubo and YouTube TV, cost about $70 each month. Just bear in mind that CBS Sports is available for free via antenna TV. You can use the FCC's website to see which broadcast TV channels are available in your area (though the placement of your antenna will dictate which channels you receive).
To receive this 50% discount, join a Paramount+ annual plan and use coupon code SPORTS during checkout. We don't know when this coupon will expire, so be sure to use it quickly. If you want to prevent your Paramount+ membership from auto-renewing at full price, set a reminder on your calendar.
