Finding a secure location to house our most precious photos without relegating them to just one device can be an undertaking. You can use a USB drive or microSD card, but if either is lost, that’s a library of the captured moments of your life gone forever. A service like Mylio Photos presents the ideal picture storage option with its cloud-free, easily accessible photo library. Since its June 2022 launch, Mylio Photos has been a user-friendly software, and with its v24 release, it’s putting even more emphasis on the user experience.
Improving the Mylio Experience
Prior to v24, Mylio Photos offered free and premium Internet- and cloud-free secure photo storage. None of those convenient features are being lost with the latest update, but you’ll see even more benefits coming your way. One of the most convenient additions coming with the latest version of Mylio Photos is an AI-powered dynamic search. Before, photos could be organized by date and into individual photos. Now, there's seemingly no limit to how they can be categorized.
Dynamic search uses AI to create more in-depth indexes based on face tags, photo metadata, GPS location, and optical character recognition (OCR). When a photo is imported, the AI scans its contents and metadata using SmartTags to organize them into searchable folders. With QuickFilters, you can search by season, time of day, the type of camera used, or even by specific events. Want to find last year’s birthday photos? Dynamic Search can pull up any image that appears to be of a birthday party.
Additional organization options have been added with Spaces and Remote Control. With Spaces, you can declutter your library with custom folders of specific subjects. Whether you need a folder for work photos or want to add a layer of privacy to medical documents, Spaces can help. Remote Control edits permissions of individual Spaces, so you can determine which are available to each Mylio-enabled device.
Sharing your memories is also easier with Shared Albums. Keeping an emphasis on photo security, the latest version of Mylio allows premium account holders to upload select images to a web page that can’t be crawled by search engines. The page serves as a living album that you can update with new photos, and only those with the designated link can see its contents.
Keeping Mylio Cloud-Less with Drives
One of the primary goals of Mylio is to deliver photo storage that doesn’t rely on vulnerable cloud storage. The latest version keeps this emphasis with two additional Drives available to premium Mylio Photos+ users. Mylio Drive lives on an encrypted server accessible only by devices linked to an account. iOS Drive Access allows you to turn your iOS device into an external drive for photos associated with your Mylio Photos+ account.
Mylio also added Travel Drives or customizable external drives like portable SSDs that can be used to automatically back up images. Travel Drives can even access drives on a home network and use them as a backup option.
Your Secure Photo Storage Solution
We’re in a perpetual state of searching for the best photo storage software, especially as options like Apple Cloud are known to be easily compromised. Mylio Photos takes security concerns out of the equation, whether you’re a premium subscriber or utilize the free service.
Before the v24 update, Mylio offered smarter solutions for photo storage and organization. With the latest update, these solutions received an upgrade with AI-powered searches, optimized subject-based organization, and secure sharable albums.
To take full advantage of all of Mylio Photos features, sign up for Mylio Photos+.
